Course Description

This course was specifically developed to review the OEMS requirements that all EMTs need every two years. This training will cover the following objectives:
Define an Active Shooter Hostile Event Response (ASHER).
Identify prior ASHER events and lessons learned.
Summarize EMS response and roles to an ASHER event.
Identify regional specific assets and procedures.

This class, along with more in-depth training, offers the guiding principles and practices that should be used to develop standard operating guidelines (SOGs) for your department’s response to a hostile event within Region II.
Instructor: Dan Jewiss, Founder and President of the RAK Academy.
1.5 credit hours.
